Norristown, PA: Students Put Character Into Action at Paul Fly Elementary

Paul Fly Elementary School is wrapping up an exciting year of CHARACTER COUNTS! activities. Students learned to care for animals by holding a drive to collect food and supplies for pets. Students demonstrated the Pillar of responsibility through lunchtime chants and bulletin-board displays.

Fourth graders even started a new tradition by awarding a daily “Gold Trash Can” to the cleanest classroom. The award, in addition to skits, posters and songs, shows students they are responsible not only for their own actions, but for their environment as well. Celebrating a different Pillar each month provides many opportunities for students and staff to promote good character.
