Use of Logos, Copyrighted Material

We recognize the interest in using Josephson Institute logos and service marks and reprinting our materials. We have a simple permissions process for these requests.

Logos

Use of logos is a benefit of Coalition membership. If your community, school or organization is a CC! Coalition member (view member list here), you have the right to use the logos, but you still need to fill out a permission form. Just click one of the links at left, print the form, fill it out, and fax, e-mail or mail it to the CC! national office. Doing so will ensure the logo is being used appropriately as well as keep us aware of what kinds of projects and activities you are working on.

Service-Marked Names

In order to use one of our service-marked names listed below, simply fill out this form and send it to Josephson Institute (see address below). Our service-marked names are:

When using the above names, please follow our guidelines below. By following these guidelines, your materials and efforts will be consistent with the nationally recognized CHARACTER COUNTS! program and strengthen your overall mission.

Guidelines

• Always print "CHARACTER COUNTS!" in all capital letters, with an exclamation point. Where feasible, please use the Futuri font. Are you missing this font? Download it here.
• Always capitalize the first letters of the three key words in "Six Pillars of Character" and be sure to use the word "Six," not the numeral 6.
• Place a small subscript "SM" after "CHARACTER COUNTS!," the "Six Pillars of Character" or any other service-marked name following its first appearance in a document, brochure or anywhere else.
• Please use the following attribution language on your materials:
  "[Service-marked name or logo] is a service mark of the CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition, a project of the Josephson Institute of Ethics. www.charactercounts.org."
